Privacy Policy
What we collect through this website, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices you have.
- Effective date
- August 21, 2026
Mark W Karstrom Wealth Management ("MWKWM," "we," "us") respects the privacy of the people who visit this website and contact us. This policy explains what personal information this website collects, how that information is used, when it is shared, and how you can limit it. It is written for website visitors; if you become a client, the separate privacy notice you receive at account opening also applies.
What this policy covers
This policy covers markwkarstromwealthmanagement.com and the consultation form on it.
It does not cover the privacy practices of Realta Investment Advisors, Inc. or Realta Equities, Inc., through which investment advisory and securities services are offered, or the practices of any third-party website linked from this one, including the firm's separate 1031 and Delaware Statutory Trust practice. Those firms and sites maintain their own privacy notices.
Reading this site discloses nothing
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, embeds no third-party trackers, and has no advertising pixels. Nothing is stored on your device beyond what your own browser caches to display the pages.
It also makes no requests to anyone else. The typefaces are served from this site rather than from a font service, and no image, script, or style is loaded from a third party — so simply reading these pages does not disclose your visit, or your IP address, to any other company. The only external addresses on this site are ordinary links you would have to click, such as FINRA BrokerCheck.
This is true of reading. Submitting the consultation form is different, and the next section describes exactly what it sends.
The site is served as static pages. Its host keeps standard server logs, which typically include IP address, browser and device type, and the pages requested. We do not access those logs to identify individual visitors.
What the consultation form sends
The form on the contact page is the only place this site collects anything. When you submit it, the name, email address, telephone number, approximate asset range, and message you entered are sent to this website and forwarded to Mark as an email.
The email is the record. Nothing you submit is written to a database or kept on this website — once the message has been handed to our email provider, this site retains no copy of it. Your own email address is set as the reply-to on that message, so a reply goes straight back to you.
Delivery is handled by Resend, Inc., our email provider, which processes the message for the sole purpose of sending it. The form also carries one hidden field that people never see; anything entered in it marks the submission as automated, and it is discarded rather than sent.
Please do not send account numbers, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive financial details through this form or by unencrypted email. Call us instead and we will arrange a secure method.
How we use what you send us
We use what you send us to
- Respond to your inquiry, and schedule and prepare for a consultation.
- Understand your circumstances well enough to discuss whether the practice is a fit.
- Send material you asked for.
- Meet the recordkeeping and supervisory obligations that apply to us and to our investment adviser and broker-dealer under federal securities rules.
We do not use it to make automated decisions about you, and contacting us does not create an advisory relationship or an offer to sell a security.
How we share information
We share what you send us only in these circumstances
- With Realta Investment Advisors, Inc. and Realta Equities, Inc., through which investment advisory and securities services are offered, for supervision, suitability review, and recordkeeping.
- With Resend, Inc., which delivers the email your form submission becomes, and with the service providers that host this website — in each case under terms that limit their use of the information to the service they perform for us.
- With regulators, including the SEC and FINRA, and in response to a subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or where necessary to investigate fraud or protect our legal rights.
We do not sell your information
We do not sell your personal information, we do not rent or trade contact lists, and we do not provide your information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
How we protect information
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards intended to protect the information you give us, and we limit access to those who need it to serve you or to meet a supervisory or legal requirement.
No method of transmitting information over the internet is completely secure.
How long we keep information
We keep what you send us for as long as needed to respond to you and to serve you as a client, and then for the periods required of us as an investment advisory representative and registered representative.
Correspondence with a prospective or actual client is a business record. Books-and-records rules applicable to investment advisers and broker-dealers — Rule 204-2 under the Investment Advisers Act and Rule 17a-4 under the Securities Exchange Act — require that certain communications be retained for a minimum period, even after you ask us to stop contacting you. The retention schedules of Realta Investment Advisors, Inc. and Realta Equities, Inc. govern how long that is.
Your choices and your rights
Whoever you are and wherever you live, you can ask us at any time to
- Stop emailing you — every message we send also carries an unsubscribe link.
- Stop calling you.
- Tell you what information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong, or delete what we hold — subject only to the recordkeeping obligations described above, which may require us to retain certain records regardless of a deletion request.
We do not require you to prove residency in a particular state to make any of these requests. To make one, contact us using the details at the end of this policy.
If you become a client
The privacy of a client's nonpublic personal information is governed by the privacy notice delivered at account opening under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and Regulation S-P, together with the privacy practices of the firms through which advisory and securities services are offered. That notice — not this website policy — governs client account information, and it explains the limited circumstances in which that information may be shared and how you may limit sharing.
Children's privacy
This website is intended for adults and is not directed to children.
Links to other websites
This site links to resources maintained by others, including FINRA's BrokerCheck, the SEC's Investment Adviser Public Disclosure site, and the firm's separate 1031 and Delaware Statutory Trust practice. Once you follow a link away from this site, this policy no longer applies. Review the privacy policy of any site you visit.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices, our vendors, or the applicable rules change. The current version is always posted here with its effective date. Material changes will be identified in the posted version rather than made silently.
